Q: Who is Functional Foto?
A: Functional Foto is for anyone needing field inspections and/or standard or low level aerial photographs of properties, places or things. These inspections can be of residential or commercial properties, vehicles, intersections, valuables, bridges, or any other tangible item. Most of our customers include insurance agents and brokers, mortgage lenders, underwriters, claims adjuster, real estate agents, bankers, loan underwriters, television and movie producers, special event coordinators, lawyers and the list goes on.

Q: What areas do you cover?

Q: How can I be notified when Functional Foto expands its service area?
A: Very simple just send us an email here. You will be added to our new area update list.

Q: How do I order?
A: Become a registered user by filling out the form here and then go to the work order section of the registered user page. Once you are a registered user it takes less than a minute to order your photos anytime.

Q: How can I become a Functional Foto Franchise?
A: We are currently in discussions with the lawyers and financial institutions to make this happen. When franchises are available we can let you know if you email use here. In the body of the email please tell us about yourself as well as areas of the country you would be interested in.

Q: What is the resolution of your photos?
A: We can produce digital pictures up to 8.2 megapixels in size - Most of our standard pictures are around 2 megapixels for insurance needs. For Real Estate, Aerial, and Legal pictures we most always shoot them at a higher resolution of at least 6 megapixels. (Suitable to make a VERY nice 11x14 print) These higher resolution prints are most always delivered on CD. Most emailed photos are lower resolution ( approx. 2 megapixel) still capable of making a VERY nice photo up to 5x7.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Complete pricing information is available when you submit your online order. However, beginning pricing is available on each individual service's page here.

Q: What is your privacy policy?
A: Basically it is VERY simple "We DO NOT share your information with anyone ever." At sometime we may allow other people we deem relevant to you to advertise on our website but we will never make your information including your email available to anyone else.

Q: How long does it take?
A: Please see our coverage area map it also has approximate delivery times for different areas. Priority service is available at the time of ordering and varies from $15-$50 based on service area. Priority delivery times are from the same day to 5 days again depending on the service area.

Q: How many photos will you take?
A: For insurance photos we usually take 2, One "off the curb" and one of the best side. Real Estate varies we want to make your property look it's best so we may take 3-4 shots and let you decide. Legal photography is very specific and we take exactly the shots that are asked for. Vehicles we take all four sides as well as specific shots if there is damage or important features. Aerial photos are again very specific we take exactly the shots called for. If aerial shots are for real estate we may take some artistic license and provide you with a few extra shots if we see a more artistic framing of the property.  

Q: What if I need a rear photo and you cannot access the back?
A: If we are called to take a rear photo or photo in a secure area we will that we can not access we will do the best we can and take a photo of both sides and the front. If we need to make a specific appointment with someone there is an additional charge of $5 plus travel for the order if the appointment is missed and we have to go back a second time.

Q: What is the "extra photo" option?
A: If you need extra photos of say all sides of a home you would need two extra photos. Please put shot instructions in the special instructions area.

Q: Can I forward the inspection/photos to someone else?
A: YES - As soon as you receive them via email you can do any thing you want with them they are yours. You can treat them just like any other computer file. The photos are sent in JPEG format and the Inspections are usually sent in a PDF file format. If some other format is need please contact us to make arrangements prior to ordering.

Q: What if the inspection is done on the wrong property?
A: We try to do our job without error however we are human too. If the photos are taken of the wrong property and it is our mistake we will re-shoot them as fast as possible. If the order was sent in wrong we will only charge you the travel surcharge but not for the order. The travel surcharge will be added to the corrected order. 

Q: Is an appointment required?
A: In most cases - NO. In fact we prefer it this way, it lets us be more flexible for all our customers. There are however instances when we have to make an appointment, such as locked gates or when we need to take shots in doors. In those instances please call us at 541.821.1225 or email with a couple of times that might work for you. If we do make an appointment and it is missed an additional $5 plus travel surcharges will be added.

A: Simple

Q. How do I pay for my Orders?
A. We bill all our customers on the first of the month usually by e-mail. We expect payment by the 15th of the month. You can pay by check or credit card, or regular Paypal. If you choose by credit card we use Paypal as our credit card service processor. Paypal DOES NOT require you you be a member any longer and there is a link provided for you in your emailed invoice to them for your convenience. However if you are a member already you know how easy it is to mange your money.

Q: Can I request an aerial picture of a property other than my own?
A: Only with the permission of the property owner, we may however because of framing issues may find it necessary to include neighboring properties.

Q: I have more than one property I need inspections of, can I give you a list of all the properties?
A: Yes, you can download our bulk order form package and submit it back as a file attachment via email or fax it back to us at 866.217.2093 toll free. We will call and confirm your order Total before we begin.

Q: How long does Functional Foto keep the inspections and photos available?
A: In all actuality about 14-30 days. We can resend you the files for a small fee ( $ 2-5 ) depending on the number of files. However Functional Foto makes no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied that we will still have them. We maintain our files until we are paid at this point it is presumed that you have preserved your photos.

Q: What if the photos don't show up in my email?
A: We will make every attempt to make sure you receive your pictures. In some instances certain firewalls and/or servers prevent us from using email. In that case we will archive the photos on to CD and deliver them to you. We are currently in the process of creating a server space where you can download your pictures or send the gallery link to who ever you want to download them. Q: Do you offer quantity discounts?

Q: I have limited or no computer access can I fax my orders to Functional Foto?
A: You can always fax your order in. Just download our Bulk Order Form. You can also email or phone us ( 541.821.1225 ) and we will mail it or drop a hard copy by your office.
